As we step into the new season – our intensive skills sessions will remain a key part of our program due to tremendous skills development we’ve seen in our players, and we know season over season this is only a recipe for success!

New Players will be sent an invite after tryouts and given a time period for registration. The registration dates above do not apply to new players. Team fees are provided at the time an invite is extended.
Q. When does the winter season begin?
A. Practices begin the week of Nov 27th.

A. Season will end mid Feb.

A. Games start the week-end of Dec 1st.
Q. How many practices a week?
A. One Team practice per week and new this season are 90 min intensive skills sessions which will be offered weekly!

A. All Academy teams play at the Grapevine Fieldhouse.
Q. When will I get the game schedule?
A. Fieldhouse will provide the schedule a week prior to kick off weekend!
Q. Will will have playoffs?
A. Yes, the season will conclude with playoffs the weekend of 2/17 and 2/18/23.
The Feidlhouse holds playoffs in the Winter and Summer Seasons only. The top 4 teams in each division (3rd grade and up) will have the opportunity to qualify for playoffs.
The Texas Tar Heels Basketball Academy is the fastest growing AAU Basketball Program in the DFW area. Texas Tar Heels are located in Lewisville, Texas and draw top basketball players from all over North Texas including Flower Mound, Grapevine, Dallas, Plano and Frisco. DFW AAU Basketball players can come to the Texas Tar Heels to work hard, develop their skills and gain exposure to college coaches. We are the the largest independent AAU Basketball Program in the DFW area. DFW AAU Basketball players can come to us and expect high level training to include state of the art Vertimax and a shooting machine. The Texas Tar Heels Basketball Academy located in North Texas has a proven track record of developing DFW AAU Basketball athletes to reach their maximum potential.
