AAU Tournament Teams
Spring Academy Teams Now Forming!
We have Academy Teams who play year round in the Grapevine Fieldhouse League! This gives players a chance to develop their skills and build their team chemistry. We use this league to build our teams and prepare them for tournament play.
We are seeking players who want to join our academy teams and want to:
|2nd Grade||6th Grade|
|3rd Grade||7th Grade|
|4th Grade||8th Grade|
|5th Grade||High School|
The first step is to sign up for a tryout. We will invite you to come out and join us at a practice or skills session. This enables your student athlete to come out and participate in a session with little pressure and the coach can access player. Depending upon the age, coaches look for ability to remain engaged in drills, skill levels, being coachable and potential to grow as a player.
Our National AAU Travel Teams will play during the AAU season March - July. This allows players a chance to focus on their high school teams during school season. We do have local league play options for those players who want to continue training with the Texas Tar Heels.

Tryouts for our AAU Season will take place on Sunday, March 5th. You can SIGN UP HERE!
If your player wants to play in tournaments but is not quite ready, we have teams who play in the Grapevine League and also play in a few one day tournaments.
The one day events helps players build stamina by playing 3 games in one day, they learn how to play with more intensity and at a faster pace. This is a great option to support your player in building the bridge between league play and tournaments.
If this is something your interested in, please indicate this on your tryout request.
AAU Travel Tournament Teams will play in DFW based tournaments in addition to 1-2 travel tournaments (ie. San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Austin). These travel teams will play in competitive events and experience one out of town event for a team bonding experience.

The best way to get started is to sign up for a tryout and our coaches will make sure your student athlete is placed on a team that will best challenge and develop your player.
We are often asked "How much does it cost?". This information is not found on our website. It is provided when an invite is extended.
Fees vary from team to team and are based on the number of games or tournaments played and number of practices (court rentals).
“This is a top notch organization! One of the best things my child was ever a part of! Great coaches of the game of basketball, but most importantly leaders and role models of what young men should be.”
Coach Nate, Eric and I will forever be grateful for you and the way you took Josh Lewis and mentored him when he was at an impressionable age. We loved all of those years we spent watching him on the court and watching him grow as a young man. Not everyone gets that mentoring and I know we are blessed you put the time and energy into Josh. Those lessons not only improved his game, but most importantly his growth as a young man. Keep doing what you are doing!!!
“Everything they are teaching these boys is exactly what they need from basketball. My son will be a better man for having played for you.”
