Isaiah Brown Signs with Texas Legends

Former Texas Tar Heel Isaiah Brown officially began his season with the Texas Legends, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. The Legends started their pre-season with a win  Saturday, October 30th vs the Salt Lake City Stars, 105-82.

Brown had a solid all-around game with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals for the Legends.

Brown played last season with the G-League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors before the Legends made a trade for the 6'7" swing man who played college ball at University of Northern Iowa.

Brown was the first member of Texas Tar Heels Basketball Academy when the program was started by Coach Nate Brewer and Sophie Brown in 2003. The Texas Tar Heels are successful because of their emphasis on player development, team first style of play and dedicated coaching staff.

  • More than 80% of their high school players have gone on to play college ball.
  • Their alumni include several DI, D2, & D3,  professional overseas, NBA, and several  pending NBA hopefuls!
  • They are equally as proud of some of their alumni who have gone on to pursue careers outside of basketball such as chemical engineering, neuroscience, and even a 2K gaming professional for the Utah Jazz!

Legends next game is Sunday, October 31 @ 4:00 vs the Sioux Falls Skyhawks. View their full schedule here.
