What began in 2003 with a single team of first-graders has grown into one of the most respected and successful youth basketball programs in the region. For over 20 years, the Texas Tar Heels have been committed to developing players on and off the court, building a legacy rooted in hard work, faith, and excellence.

Head Coach / Co-founder

Coach Nate holds an NCAA Coaching Certificate with 20 years’ experience coaching competitive / AAU basketball in the DFW area.  Additionally, he is a graduate of the Police Academy at Denton County Sheriff's Office and former member of the Texas Gang Association.  

He is dedicated to working with his players to reach their maximum potential and successfully creating opportunities for exposure to college coaches. Coach Nate utilizes basketball as a vehicle to work with student athletes to help keep them on positive pathways. Teaching the importance of integrity, the value of hard work, and respect for others. 

He has blended his professional law enforcement experience with his passion for basketball to create one of the most reputable select basketball programs in the DFW area.
