  • One day is dedicated to skills training

  • One day is focused on team practice

Skills Nights are designed to build each player’s individual toolbox:

Our Process - Build With Us

At Texas Tar Heels, we believe in earning it.  Players don’t just start out on the top team — they work their way up through commitment, discipline, and consistent effort. That’s part of what makes the journey meaningful.

Our program is designed to teach athletes that success doesn’t come from shortcuts — it comes from hard work, skill development, and a willingness to grow.  We also take pride in developing our own players.  We don’t build teams by recruiting kids from other clubs — we build them by investing in the athletes we train. Every player who puts in the work will have opportunities to grow, contribute, and compete.

This process only works when parents and players are bought in — not just to the results, but to the journey.
When families commit to the long game, kids learn powerful life lessons:

  • How to overcome challenges
  • How to be a great teammate
  • How to earn their spot, and take pride in it

This is what makes our culture strong — and what makes Texas Tar Heels more than just basketball.

How much does it cost to play?

We’re often asked: “What’s the cost to join the Texas Tar Heels?”

Team fees vary based on:  the number of tournaments scheduled, weekly practice frequency, court rental and facility costs

Because each team has a slightly different structure, exact fees are shared after a player is invited to a roster. At that time, families will also receive full details on schedule, expectations, and optional add-ons like skills training.  We’re committed to transparency — and to making sure every family knows exactly what they’re getting.

Parent Testimony

Coach Nate,  Eric and I will forever be grateful for you and the way you took Josh and mentored him when he was at an impressionable age. We loved all of those years we spent watching him on the court and watching him grow as a young man. Not everyone gets that mentoring and I know we are blessed you put the time and energy into Josh. Those lessons not only improved his game, but most importantly his growth as a young man. Keep doing what you are doing!!!

“Everything they are teaching these boys is exactly what they need from basketball. My son will be a better man for having played for you.”
